DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS AND PORTRAIT SESSIONS?
Yes Yes Yes! I was born in New Zealand and grew up travelling around Australia like a gyspy in a circus (no I really did!) so of course I love traveling and being inspired by new environments. I love exploring new locations, scouting for your event the day before and capturing incredible images of your dream wedding in your dream location.
WHAT’S INVOLVED IN BOOKING ONE OF YOU FOR OUR WEDDING?
A signed contract and $500 deposit are all thats required to hold your date. Bookings work on a first come, first serve basis, upon receipt of a signed contract and deposit. Please keep in mind that for ‘quality control’ I restrict the amount of weddings/portrait sessions that I photograph each year so sadly dates are limited. Thank you for your understanding.
WILL WE GET THE HIGH RESOLUTION FILES (THE DIGITAL NEGATIVES) TO KEEP?
Yes you do….you will get all images on two discs, all high resolution, so you can print them yourself any size you want. You will also get a viewing gallery for some of the photos where friends and family can go and download high resolution images FOR FREE. Thats right…FREE! It’s my present to you and your present to your friends and family.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR YOU TO WORK YOUR MAGIC ON OUR PHOTOS AND POST THEM ONLINE?
It takes between 4-6 weeks for us to edit and adjust all of your photos and upload them to your private gallery to view and ooh and ahhh over. Please understand that I am a control freak who wants to make sure that every last photo is perfect before you ever see it, and this sort of dedication and obsessiveness takes time. I promise you when you see the photos you will understand…amazing things come to those who wait!
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A PHOTOGRAPHER?
You know those first ground breaking images they ever got of a baby inside the womb….well I was the baby in there taking the photos
Okay I am kidding. I didn’t come out of the womb with a camera strapped to my hand. But I have been doing this for a long time. I guess I started 10 years ago when I lived in Europe. It’s strange for me to chat with photographers today who have only ever known digital beacause I started with film cameras….35mm and medium format. I would spend countless hours perfecting exposure and composition – remember with film you can’t just shoot randomly and check out the results straight away to make sure you nailed it. With film you have to get it right the first time. I seriously spent the better part of eight years traingin myself by shooting a lot of photos and also developing them myself . A really good foundation for being the sucessful photographer I am today.
